Add a column based on a key figure
You can add custom columns based on key figures into the different search views and Analytics+. To learn how to do this, follow the instructions below.
Step 1 - Configure the key figure in Preference
You can modify the definition of an existing key figure or define a new one. The hard-coded security key figure and portfolio key figure definitions are available to view but not modify.
To define a new key figure, do the following:
Click Add new key figure.
Fill in the fields. For field descriptions, see Key figures in FA Back.
Click Save.
Modify key figure definitions
You can modify key figure definitions after saving. However, if you modify an existing key figure that already has values stored for contacts, portfolios, or securities, the values are preserved but may not be modified anymore. For example, if you change a key figure from "contact" to "portfolio", you cannot modify the key figure values for contacts.
Step 2 - Fill in key figure values
You can add key figure values for contacts, portfolios, or securities by entering them manually in the respective windows or by importing them.
To add key figure values manually in FA Back, do the following:
Open the Key figures tab in the Contact, Portfolio, or Security window.
On the left side of the tab, select the key figure and click Add new value.
Define the date and value.
Click Add.
For more information about importing key figures, see File formats for importing securities and security prices and File format for importing portfolios in FA Back reference.
Step 3 - Set up the Analytics+ column
To configure a key figure as an Analytics+ column, do the following:
Open Preference → Content and translations → Analytics+ columns.
Click Add new column and fill in the fields:
Select how you want to define the column - Select "Based on a security key figure".
Code* - A unique code for the column. You can't change the code after saving.
Name* - Name for the column.
Description - Optional description of the column content, shown when selecting columns in Analytics+.
Link - Optional link for more information about the column, shown when selecting columns in Analytics+.
Select the security key figure you want to use as a column - Choose the key figure to link to the column from the dropdown list.
Select how to calculate values on group levels -
Do you want to override the default formatting? Choose if you want to specify a custom formatting for the column. If you select "Yes, override formatting", you also need to specify the format.
Click Save.
