FA Notifications 1.0 is the first release of the notifications component in the FA Platform.
Notifications across the apps
Why?
This feature helps FA users and admins stay updated about important events in the FA Platform. Notifications ensure that they can follow processes across all FA applications, no matter which application they are using at the time. Notifications improve the usability of FA Plaftorm features, especially the ones involving background processing.
Who is this for?
Notifications are for all users of FA applications. In this release, notifications are shown only to the users of certain features, but the coverage will be extended in the future.
Details
New notifications inform the users about events that require their attention. These notifications appear as pop-ups in the lower-right corner of your screen, no matter in which app you are working, making it easier to stay informed. In addition to pop-ups, you can access all your notifications in one place by clicking the bell icon in the Global app bar on the left. You can search your notifications, save them for later and mark as read.
This release includes notifications related to the following functionality:
Processes that you can track in FA Admin Console, Process monitoring view: for example, nightly price updates. The notifications appear if a process ends with an error.
Fund- and NAV-related processes. The notifications appear when the process, such as NAV calculation, acceptance or rejection, fee calculation or deferral run, is completed (successfully or with an error). The user receives notifications about the processes they started. If you start an NAV calculation, you are notified also if another user accepts, rejects or deletes your calculation.
We are going to add more notifications in the future.
