Accept NAV

You can accept NAV for one or more funds in the NAV status view. If four-eyes approval of NAV is enabled, the same user who calculated NAV can't accept it (see Use four-eyes approval of NAV).

To accept NAV for a single fund, do the following:

  1. Click the fund in the NAV status view. Make sure the fund status is "Calculated".

  2. Check the NAV calculation details, warnings, and comments (see View and check NAV calculation). You can add comments to the NAV acceptance in NAV overview, Details tab.

  3. Accept or reject the NAV calculation:

    • If NAV summary is correct and no warnings need to be addressed, click Accept NAV in the Fund details pane or NAV overview, Details tab. The fund status changes to "Accepted".

    • If fixes are needed and NAV has to be calculated again, click Reject NAV in the Fund details pane or NAV overview, Details tab.

You can also accept NAV for multiple funds simultaneously by selecting the funds in the NAV status view and clicking Accept NAV.

Roll back accepted NAV

Rolling back NAV reverts all actions performed in the acceptance:

  • Deletes fee and cash transactions in the fund portfolio in FA Back.

  • Deletes market data observations for the share class in FA Back.

  • Changes the status of trade orders executed in the acceptance step to "Executable" and deletes transactions linked to them.

  • If performance fee equalization is used for the fund, removes capitalization transactions, removes performance fees, removes compensation trade orders created for subscriptions, and restores compensation trade orders canceled or updated as a result of redemptions.

  • Updates the calculation schedule and shows the previous accepted NAV as the latest one.

Rolling back unofficial NAV does the following:

  • Updates the calculation schedule and shows the previous NAV as the latest one.

The actions performed during the rollback are logged. To view the log, click log.png in the Fund details pane.

You can roll back the latest accepted NAV calculation. To cancel several NAV calculations, roll them back one by one, starting with the latest:

  1. Double-click the fund in the NAV status view to open the NAV overview.

  2. Click Roll back NAV.

    Note

Only the latest NAV can be rolled back. The button is only available if you select the latest NAV date at the top of the screen.

Rolling back NAV can take a few moments. If you run deferrals, you need to delete them after NAV rollback, meaning delete the postings and update the schedule. After the rollback and deletion of deferrals, you can calculate NAV again.

Stop NAV acceptance in progress

You can interrupt an ongoing NAV acceptance. This removes all changes made in FA Back during the acceptance, similar to Roll back accepted NAV, but the latest NAV calculation is preserved.

To stop ongoing NAV acceptance, do the following:

  1. Click the fund in the NAV status view.

  2. Click View progress in the Fund details pane.

  3. Click Stop acceptance.

After interrupting NAV acceptance, you can calculate NAV again.

Roll back failed acceptance

You can roll back a failed NAV acceptance caused by a system error. Such a situation is indicated by the fund status being "Error". To roll back a failed NAV calculation, do the following:

  1. In the NAV status view, check the Error column for the fund to see at what stage NAV acceptance was interrupted.

  2. Open FA Back and remove any changes made during NAV acceptance (for example, delete the fee or cash transactions).

  3. Open FA Fund Management and click on the fund in the NAV status view to open the Fund details pane.

  4. Click Roll back failed acceptance.

The failed acceptance is cancelled.
